Julie Harris Wasserman

Executive Director

Julie Harris Wasserman brings to Prime Time Early Learning over 20 years of leadership experience in both education and business. After completing a BS in Business Communications and a MS in Education, Julie began her early career as a teacher, trainer and career counselor. Julie then shifted her focus to the private sector and built a successful career leading teams in various industries with the last 10 years as a Regional Director for the outdoor retailer Recreational Equipment Incorporated (REI).

When Prime Time founders, Ricci and Joel Wasserman, decided to step back from the daily operations of our six Prime Time centers in early 2015, they asked Julie to join Prime Time as our Executive Director. As Executive Director, Julie is responsible for overseeing and supporting our six schools as well as our Administrative and Operations staff. Julie is passionate about people and committed to making Prime Time a great place for our families, students and employees. She says: “I’ve always had a motto- Take great care of your employees so they can take great care of your customers. The rest is just logistics. I’ve found this to be even more accurate at Prime Time. We have an amazing team of teachers and administrators who care deeply about the children in our care. My job is to make it easy for our teachers to do what they do best- create positive, loving and exciting classroom environments that accelerate our student’s growth and learning. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve as the next generation of the Wasserman family to lead Prime Time Early Learning Centers.”

Jeff Wasserman

Facilities, Safety and Security Director

I am Jeff Wasserman, the Facilities, Safety and Security director for Prime Time Early Learning Centers. My parents founded Prime Time more than 32 years ago while I pursued 30 year parallel careers as a full-time United States Park Police officer, and a part-time officer in the United States Coast Guard Reserve. In 2011 I retired from the Coast Guard Reserve as a Lieutenant Commander, Maritime Safety and Security Specialist and Senior Reserve Officer of the Pacific Strike Team. In 2014 I retired as a U.S. Park Police Captain and the Acting Commander of the San Francisco Field Office

In my new capacity as Prime Time’s Facilities, Safety and Security director I oversee our six Prime Time Early Learning Center facilities, and their safety and security programs. It has been a pleasure to employ my education, skills and experience in public safety, law enforcement, supervision and project management to help make our Prime Time Early Learning Centers as functional, safe and secure as they can be for the children and families we serve. Nicole Olsen

Operations Director

Nicole has more than 13 years of experience in the child care profession, starting with Prime Time Early Learning in 2003. Nicole began her career in the classroom and worked her way up to positions of increasing responsibility at Prime Time. She was then selected to open the new Prime Time Hoboken Center. As the Prime Time Hoboken Director, Nicole led a team of 52 teachers and a program of more than 200 children. Nicole says “One of my greatest career achievements has been being a part of the Prime Time Hoboken design team which opened and quickly became a great success”. Nicole left Prime Time for a while to work for a national child care center chain, but says she is excited to be back as Operations Director. “I am looking forward to bringing the same success we had in Hoboken to all our Prime Time centers”. Nicole has a Bachelors of Arts degree from St John’s University.

Eva Ramos

Center Director – Middletown

My name is Eva Ramos and I have been with Prime Time Early Learning since 1993. While serving as a center director I have also worked in various areas of company management including Regional Manager and Regional Educational Supervisor. My true love, however, has always been leading our Middletown center. I have an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education and continuously attend professional development classes to stay abreast of the latest advances and practices. I am CPR and First Aid certified, and am certified in Medical Administration Training (MAT).

I have always had a passion for working with young children and feel blessed to have a career that allows me to both be around children every day, and to form great relationships with parents. My personal philosophy is the same as Prime Time Early Learning Centers; to provide a safe and loving environment for children so that parents may devote needed time to their careers and development while secure in the knowledge that their children are in the best of hands. Our program provides an environment that is rich with opportunities for children to grow, develop and to prepare for school.

Michelle Friedman

Center Director – Farmingdale

My name is Michelle Friedman. I am the Center Director for Prime Time Early Learning Center in Farmingdale, New York. I have worked at Prime Time Early Learning Center in Farmingdale since it opened in June, 2000. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from CW Post College and my Children’s Programming Administrative Credential (CPAC) from Empire College where I am also a CPAC Reviewer. I am an active board member of the Child Care Council of Suffolk and on their Medical Advisory Board. I am CPR, First Aid certified and Medical Administrative Training (MAT) certified.

I am dedicated to the belief that each child is unique and needs a safe, caring atmosphere to learn and grow. I believe that the most important job in the world is to teach and nurture a child. I know that every child who passes through our doors has been cared for by compassionate, well-qualified teachers and assistants who have truly dedicated themselves to the welfare of all of the children in our care. I am very proud to be the Director of Prime Time’s Farmingdale School.

Marcelle Abrams

Center Director – Hoboken

Marcelle has been the director of Prime Time Hoboken since 2015 and contributes more than 20 years of experience in Early Childhood Education to our Prime Time leadership team. Her experience includes being a Kindergarten teacher, and both a Child Care Center Assistant Director and Director. Marcelle holds a Teaching Certification from the Cyril Potter College of Education and both BS and MBA Business Degrees from the University of Phoenix.

Karl Frihart

Center Director – East Rutherford

Karl joined Prime Time in February 2017 with more than ten years of experience in Early Childhood leadership and management and a Bachelors Degree from Rutgers University. Karl started his career as an early childhood classroom teacher and has worked in a variety of positions with small and large child care providers building a strong understanding of how a team works together to run a successful school. Karl believes the most important part of early childhood education is developing children’s social and emotional intelligence and he loves the opportunity to teach children how to problem solve and to be creative. Karl is a New Jersey native and when he’s not working with children he loves traveling with his wife and two sons to explore the world and seek adventure in new and exciting places.

Diane Eide

Center Director – Paramus

Diane Eide is the Center Director for Prime Time Paramus. Diane’s professional resume includes an early career as a Lead Pre-School Teacher and more than 20 years experience leading child care teams as a Child Care Center Director. Diane has managed several Child Care Centers for the Bergen County YWCA and prior to coming to Prime Time she was Assistant Director of the Turrell Child Care Center in Paramus. Diane holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and has served as an instructor at Bergen Community College, teaching classes in their Child Development Associates Degree program. Having worked for many years with the NJ state GrowNJKids program and the Bergen County Office for Children, Diane has built an excellent regional reputation as an leader and innovator in the field of Early Education.
